Special Session on GST
On 4th August 2025, the Udupi Zilla Varthakara Hitharakshana Vedike in collaboration with ICAI Udupi Branch (SIRC) jointly organised a special informative session on Goods and Services Tax (GST) at Town Hall, Ajjarkadu, Udupi. The programme was designed to create awareness and provide clarity on GST compliance, recent updates, and practical challenges faced by businesses and professionals.
- CA. Coline Oswald Rodrigues explained the foundational concepts of GST, registration processes, filing procedures, and applicable exemptions.
- The session covered latest changes in GST rules and their implications for traders, service providers, and tax practitioners.
- Real-life examples and case studies were discussed to address common issues in GST compliance and audits.
- Participants actively raised queries related to GST returns, input tax credits, penalties, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
